Resuscitation Journal – Editorial / Resuscitation 84 (2013) 1291–1294
This year, the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) celebrates its 25th anniversary. The ERC was created by a small group of friends and has developed into a professional organisation with interna-tional recognition, dealing with all aspects of resuscitation care in Europe. These 25 years have formed a substantial and exciting part of the professional lifetime of the present authors, who have had the privilege of participating in the conception, the birth, and the development of the Council.
